We Need and Appreciate Our School Volunteers
As a volunteer, you can look forward to an interesting and rewarding experience which will provide you with an opportunity to learn first hand about our school. Many teachers utilize parent volunteers for a variety of classroom needs. Please contact your son/daughter's teacher for more information and opportunities to volunteer.
WCPS policy states that all school volunteers must obtain a Criminal Record Check (CRC). Criminal Record Checks are available, free of charge, at the Red Deer Rural Detachment, to residents of our Clive School area. Persons interested in acquiring a CRC are asked to apply in person at the Red Deer Rural Detachment Office Monday thru Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Applicants may pick up their CRC 24 hours after the application. Applicants will require government issued photo ID indicating they are a resident of the detachment area. A letter may be obtained from the school indicating that the applicant is a school volunteer. Any questions may be forwarded to the Rural Detachment at 403-343-5500.
CRCs from other police detachments (eg. Red Deer City or Lacombe Police) will be accepted however the applicant may be required to pay a fee for the CRC to be done at these non-resident detachments.
Once a CRC is received it is kept on file at the school.
We appreciate all volunteers following this process in order that we can better ensure the safety and security of our students.
