We Need and Appreciate Our School Volunteers
As a volunteer, you can look forward to an interesting and rewarding experience which will provide you with an opportunity to learn firsthand about our school. Many teachers utilize parent volunteers for a variety of classroom needs. Please contact your son/daughter's teacher for more information and opportunities to volunteer.
WCPS policy states that all school volunteers must fill out (annually) a Volunteer Application form, as well as a Criminal Record Declaration form. As well, every 3 years, volunteers are required to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check. These are available from your local Police Detachment. A form, signed by the principal, may be obtained from the school indicating that the applicant is a school volunteer; thus there is no charge for the check.
We appreciate all volunteers following this process in order that we can better ensure the safety and security of our students.
